The year has flown by this weekend’s Boat Show marks the one year anniversary for my purchase of my 2006 Chaparral Signature 240. My wife Donna and son Ethan had a great summer enjoying our new life as boaters. Anyway, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and A&S Boats for this life changing experience. I am very satisfied with my decision to purchase my Sig. 240 the quality of this boat is outstanding. There are certainly less expensive boats on the market but this is without a doubt an instance where you get what you pay for. When it comes to the safety of my family quality can’t be sacrificed to save a few dollars.
As with any boat, car, house, etc. service is required from time to time. When my boat was due for the 20 hour scheduled service there were a couple of warrantee items (bad speaker, missing upholstery button, stiff power steering) that needed to be addressed. I had anticipated a difficult experience and was pleasantly surprised by the responsiveness of A&S Boats as well as Chaparral standing behind the product that they sell.
Most recently my boat was in for winterization and the staff at A&S Boats noticed that the gel coat looked thin in one spot. With out me even being aware of this issue A&S Boats took a picture and sent it on to Chaparral for approval. I later received a phone call to let me know that the winterization was complete but the gel coat was a little thin in one spot. They said not to worry it was only cosmetic however they have already scheduled the boat for repair to be covered by the Chaparral warrantee.
I keep my boat at Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook, CT and have received many compliments on the sleek design of the Sig. 240. This boat really stands out in the crowd. I just wanted to say thanks and that I would be happy to serve as a reference.
